Fruit of the Spirit

Today we read three stories about the fruit of the Spirit (which they loved!) – found here and then the children wrote the verse on their copy page.

Our family is discussing and working on being faithful servants.  In order to do this we must rely on the Holy Spirit to fill us with His fruits which are so delicious for others to taste and receive.

I showed them the lapbook we made months ago, and they all agreed that the fruit looks colorful, and definitely yummy to eat!  Our mouths watered as we talked about how good each fruit tastes. In the coming weeks and months as each fruit is available to eat fresh I will use it as learning tool to remind them of what we learned in the stories we read this morning.

Then it was time to fill their baskets with their own fruit – they all prayed to display them all.  It was a precious learning time together and I look forward to tasting all of the fruit He will bring forth as they continue to seek His best for their lives!

We have used songs to memorize the fruits of the Spirit as well – which they enjoyed singing today while we did this lesson!
