I am thankful that my hair is growing and for a hair cut that made me feel young(er) again!  Not to mention the hour out of the house alone where I didn’t hear, “Mom”…yes I love my name, the job that comes with it and all of their love – but every good Mom knows we need a break to recharge to be the best Mom for everyone.

I’m thankful for the breeze that was blowing yesterday to help cut the intense humidity and heat we are still experiencing.  I am thankful for this fun dress that I bought on sale two years ago that always brightens my day!

I am thankful for Christie who is coming alongside of me to encourage teens each week on:

TTTuesdayButton

Christie has a heart for teens and has been a youth leader alongside of her husband for the last few years.  She is precious and her love for Jesus shines through every word she writes on her blog.  Christie has the gift of encouragement and I know she will be a huge blessing to all who read what she shares here with us.

Starting in September Christie, Lexi and I will be taking turns writing posts just for teens.   I pray that you will join us to learn what God’s word says about modesty (fashion that is not frumpy), purity (heart, body and mind), courting (what does it look like, why to wait and how to pray for your future spouse before you even know he/she is) and learning to become a Proverbs 31 wife and mother.   Please pray for us as we prepare our first posts!   Please post our button on your blogs and let others know this feature is coming.

Even though this is geared towards teens – parents, grandparents, men and women we can all learn from God’s word to help us disciple the youth in our lives!   If you have a heart for teens and would like to write a guest post too – simply email me (inhisgrace7@gmail.com)  :-)  I would love to have some male point of views shared here too – so guys speak up!

I’m thankful for God’s gentle reminder that nothing means more than our love for one another – as I was checking in on a friend yesterday on FB I clicked on something I didn’t notice before – messages from God…look what it said:

On this day, God wants you (Jill) to know

... that every time you pretend to love, you impoverish yourself more and more. Love has great potential to enrich your life. But if you are just playing a role, pretending to love, it's only going to poison you. Because you are teaching yourself that it's just a game, ...and slowly but surely you will lose the capacity to open in love.

I am thankful for Scott’s teaching me and the children through 1 John.

I am thankful for the way God is asking me to surrender it all to Him – all of my heart, mind and body.

I am thankful for the way God used Shame Lifter to begin this journey of loving myself – not in a prideful way – but through His eyes and truths about me.   Truths I have never accepted before or allowed to shape my thoughts and life.   Truths and promises that I can safely lay down my life knowing the ONE who made them is faithful to keep them!

And this is what I shared earlier today…

Love gives. Love grows. Love endures all things. Love in action changes everything. Hearts soften. Thoughts change. Eyes look up..not down or back. Three words He asks to show we are His - Love each other. Today live from His love and stop trying to live for it. He first loved you. Let love give, grow and travel on...

Will you let HIS LOVE live in and on through you today?

Lingering in His love for me today,

Jill
