Black and White Wednesday Little One

“…for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11
Weeks from now we will be celebrating the birth of our Savior.  A baby who changed everything in an instant.  His birth began the redemption of all mankind back into a glorious relationship with GOD!  I often imagine what it would have been like to see Him moments after He was born.  To stare at His tiny toes.  To marvel at the fact those very feet would be nailed to the cross one day for me.

I wonder how it felt to be Mary and stare at her son knowing He was The One the angel spoke to her about 9 months before, would be her Savior {our Savior}.   Imagine staring at Him and being able to smell Him in – kissing every tiny feature on His face and body.

What would it be like to hold our Savior in your hands for even a moment?   What would it be like to gaze deep into His eyes as His life began?  What would it be like to touch His skin and care for Him?
nicholas-8
My heart can barely imagine what a moment like that would do to my heart, mind and soul.  And today my heart and mind can not even comprehend the depth of His love for me that He came to save me – knowing I would reject Him for so long.  I may never fully understand a love like that until I see Him face to face in all His glory and my own.   Until then I pray to make this life and season all about Him.   Because without Him I am nothing.   There would be no me without HIM!
{all shots above are of baby Nicholas who we prayed here for two years. I am doing his newborn shot later this week}

“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”  Isaiah 9:6
