Thankful Thursday– Divine

One of our dear Sisters in Christ sent this to all on her email list yesterday and I want to share it with you.  What a lovely reminder of who we are and how we are to live purposely for Him who created us.

Dear Offspring of the Divine,
Today your Savior is born in the city of David. He is Christ the Lord.  (Luke 2:11)
Please visualize something with me.  A woman pulls up to a gas station, decides the price at the pump is too high, and pulls away.  Sooner or later, she will have to return to the pump or her car will become inoperable and she will not have the capacity to function as normal.

The same is true for us.  Our Father’s plan of sending Jesus to this world has made it possible for us to abide in Divine fellowship.  This fellowship is our life source.  If for some reason we have concluded that the price of abiding is too high—due to some other pursuits—sooner or later our spiritual tank will become depleted.  We will cease to function for God’s kingdom purposes.

During the hustle and bustle of this season, let’s make time to quietly abide in Divine fellowship.  In the coldness of this world, nothing else can bring such warmth!
Every good and perfect gift is from above...(James 1:17)

An ambassador of the Divine,

Paula Harris, Director

Thankful for this child – our King, Savior and Lord!
