Monday Morning Reflections…

One week until February – really?   Come on friends isn’t time just flying by?   It sure seems it to me.   The amazing thing about February is everyone focuses on love.   The most important word in action that ever was and will be is LOVE!

God created the heavens and the earth…because of love!

God created Adam because of love!

God created Eve because of love!

God created all that you and I see because of love!

God is love!

Psalm 100

God’s perfect love casts out all fear!

God’s perfect love covers a multitude of sins!  AMEN!

God’s perfect love forgives our sins – past, present and future!  AMEN!

God’s perfect love came to save us!   Thank You Jesus!

God’s perfect love never fails!

God’s perfect love never keeps accounts of wrongs – we are forgiven once and for all!

God’s perfect love heals the hardest of hearts!

God’s perfect love knows no bounds – there is no place we can go where He won’t find us and come to rescue us.

God’s perfect love is…

Fill in the end of the sentence with whatever you are facing or excuses you are making not to run to Him…His love can handle it and heal it.   There is nothing too big or impossible for Him to handle.  Nothing!

When I try to think of this kind of love my mind can’t fathom it.  It’s too big for me to even comprehend.    His love is beyond my wildest imagination.  His love is greater than anything I could ever think up or try to describe.   We could spend our lifetimes trying to praise Him enough and we would fall short.

He created us because of love TO love.   Yet it is the one area we all fall short daily.

Every day we must choose to lay down our lives fully (Luke 9:23-25) and completely so that He can fill us to overflowing with His perfect love.  Because if we are relying on our own ability to love those around us or whom He brings into our lives each day – we will come up empty and leaves those around us feeling empty too.  You and I have nothing good to give.  Whatever we give can never measure up to the pure love He has to offer and desires to fill us with – every single day.  His love produces fruit in our lives that others can taste and see His goodness.

We love God because He first loved us…(1 John 4:18-20) ponder that thought today.

There is nothing you can do to make Him love your more or less.  His love is.  His love will be.  His love remains for you and I forever!

Father, as we begin another week together please Lord help us to love You more so that we can love all those in our lives as You do.  Help to create in us a desire so deep for Your truths that out of our hearts Your words of love flow.  Help to create in us a pure heart where nothing stands in the way of us seeking to know You more and to giving You all the glory.  Father, we ask that You would search our hearts for the things that are NOT of You and bring them to our minds so we can lay them down at Your feet and walk away from them today.  We ask that You refine us and mold us into a clearer reflection of Your Son – our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.   Help us to walk in Your ways with a thankful heart and joyful no matter where You may lead us.  Help us to walk this journey empowered by Your all sufficient grace.   Help us to put aside our wants for Your will.  Help us to think of all that You have so graciously done for us and to never complain about what You are asking us to do – love pure and simple…love.   May we walk in Your love today and feel it rise up so strong we can not hold back from loving others.  Let us be the hands and feet for You so that others may come to know the gift and blessing of your grace and mercy.   We ask all of these things in faith and trusting that the good work You have begun in us will be finished.  We ask these things in the precious name of Your Son and our Savior Jesus Christ.  Amen!

My precious friend Lisa honored me with the privilege to write a post for her blog His Love Covers a Multitude of our Sins…you can read it here.

PS If you would like the chance to enter a really pretty give-away tomorrow I’m hosting my first one over here.
