City Streets and Lights

This weekend I went to NYC with my best friend Maria and I did what I love to do most – go photo crazy!   I took every opportunity to practice everything I learned this year.   Without thinking I was changing settings to get the right light no matter what I was aiming at. The hours of studying and practicing has totally paid off!  Every shot is SOOC and I’m thrilled to not be editing one of them.  I have many more to share – so until then enjoy todays sweet shots…

I love the M&M man in the shot and if I zoomed in the eyeball in the center is creepy and crystal clear!

I love the reflection of all the city lights on the top of the car in front of me.

Time to slow things down a bit.  Now these were hand held thus the background is not crystal clear.  Yet, I’m still loving them.  I went back to the hotel room for my tripod and took slower shots that are coming up.

I love everything about this shot – especially the silhouette of the man riding his bike towards me.

Here I was at 1:30am with my tripod on a corner of a busy city street one block down from our hotel. I was in all my glory – just me and my camera watching the world go by!

OK, how cool is this shot of the same people above?

All I did for the next shot was turn myself around to watch the cars go past me in the opposite direction.  I can’t wait to practice this again.  Amazing how you can slow down time and what everything looks like.
