Another spring fling…

Because you all know I have been waiting a LONG time for spring to arrive this year.  Not to mention I just can’t get enough of the beauty it brings.  The pollen I could live without.  The beauty – no way!

Yesterday, I shared many of the following shots SOOC.  Today I’m excited to show you how they turned out with the presets I created in LR2.

To answer your question about the gorgeous tree that I photographed yesterday, it is a Plum Tree.  The soft pink flowers turn into deep red leaves.  We have three of them, and I will miss seeing them bloom each spring.

This next shot I took is completely out of focus on purpose.  After applying my soft-floral preset to it – I fell in love with it!

The next four shots were edited with the same soft floral preset.  I’m working on making sure my presets work on photos taken by other people, different lighting, settings, etc.  Once I get them exactly right – I will begin selling them.

The following were edited with another floral preset yet to be named.  I love how it accentuates the bokeh and causes each flower to stand out that much more!

This weekend I’ll be working on getting my Easter shots done for Monday.  Then I’m off for three days for an intense photography workshop in NJ with Cliff Mautner. (Voted 1 of the top 10 photographers in the world.  He is one of the representatives for Nikon and shot our wedding over 8.5 yrs. ago.  I never thought I would see him again.  Funny how life comes full circle in so many ways!)   I can’t even begin to express my excitement to soak up everything he is going to teach us.  Not to mention I’m sharing the experience with my best friend who is flying up from Florida.   Other attendees are flying in from all over the US and as far as Spain.   Can’t wait to be like a fly on the wall and taking my photography to the next level!    My goal is to take two workshops a year and never stop learning how to improve upon the gifts God has so graciously given me.   Please say a prayer the weather holds up for the workshop – we are set to do several outside photo shoots and they are calling for breezy and rainy days ahead!

I pray you all have a blessed weekend!   Wish me luck and say a little prayer for me to get done all that needs to before we move the following week.   Please forgive me again for not visiting each of you regularly.  I’ll do my best to catch up as I can.  Once we move I will need a few weeks to get back to a normal routine with our family.  That comes first.  Your loving comments and joining me here each week is truly appreciated.  Thank you!

I look forward to selecting the top three SOOC shots at the end of this month from the April entries.  Then you will all vote on them and one winner will be chosen as the best SOOC of April for the gift certificate towards the Albie Strap.  I can’t say enough how much I love mine.
