Week 18 good to WOW {SOOC}

Welcome  back everyone!  Thanks again for joining us.  To those of you who are new to our weekly challenge please go here to learn all the details about how this works first.  The next five weeks of themes/prompts are at the bottom of my blog.  Also, everyone please do us a favor and read this post before entering any photo challenge…thanks!

This week our theme/prompt is Mother’s Day!
First, we had a wonderful weekend being outside and enjoying our property.  I spent most of the time with a few workers clearing out around our home.  We took out many bushes and trees to help with our bug issue.   So far, so good!

We had a mishap early on Saturday where the kids knocked down a birds nest while playing basketball.  That led to a sad burial and a prayer by one of our children.   She was heartbroken for the mother bird and needed many hugs to get through the rest of the day.   Well, wouldn’t you know it God was going to make it right by showing me another birds nest in a tree that needed to be removed.   We were able to relocate it to a very safe place.  Then we watched the mother bird come back to rest on her eggs.   It was such a sweet moment for all of us.  Especially our daughter who was so traumatized by the first nest and four baby birds she had to lay to rest.

Now before I show you the beautiful nest – look at the center of the tree we cut down.   Just one more example of God showing us He is in every detail of our lives and His love pours out through His creation.

To keep it real – here is how my Mother’s Day photo session went – don’t mind that everyone is in mismatched clothes. The children got dressed while I was not home early on Sunday.  Thanks Winking smile

After my little speech requesting they please smile for my special day, and asking Scott to please crack a joke – we got this…

Almost all of them looking at the camera.  Definitely not my favorite shot of all the kids.  I’ll try again another day.  I really want a shot of them with me for my new office.

I’m happy that I was able to capture these two cute shots of them all together Open-mouthed smile

Remember this month’s best SOOC shot will win this:

I bought this bag last summer and only used it three times.  It is in brand new condition.   I gave Lexi my other Kelly Moore bag and she loves it!!!!   So now one of you will be the lucky winner of this awesome bag.  Simply click on photo above to learn all about this gorgeous camera bag.    If you are wondering what I’m using now – I have a Jill-e bag that rolls.
