Be Still SONday

"If what you call your 'faith' in Christ does not involve taking the slightest notice of what He says, then it is not faith at all - not faith or trust in Him, but only intellectual acceptance of some theory about Him." C.S. Lewis

This quote has been on my mind now for days.  I’m pressing into it and being still before God so that I may hear from Him as to how my faith must match my belief in Him!

As I look around my property and capture tiny creatures that were formed by Him – I am reminded of so many verses -

“I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are Mine.”  Psalm 50:11

For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?  And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?” Matthew 6:25-27

“The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him.” Nahum 1:7

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”  1 Peter 5:5-7

9 The LORD is good to all,
And His mercies are over all His works.
10 All Your works shall give thanks to You, O LORD,
And Your godly ones shall bless You.
11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom
And talk of Your power;
12 To make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts
And the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

14 The LORD sustains all who fall
And raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to You,
And You give them their food in due time. Psalm 145:9-15

I love seeing the reflection in the next shot it reminds me that I am to reflect Christ at all times.  Not just in my home but to all in whom I meet and know!   I was created in His image and it is Him whom I live to glorify!  Only when I trust in Him and allow Him to be my all in all – am I able to reflect the glory of my Savior!

How many are your works, LORD!
   In wisdom you made them all;
   the earth is full of your creatures.
25 There is the sea, vast and spacious,
   teeming with creatures beyond number—
   living things both large and small.
26 There the ships go to and fro,
   and Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.

All creatures look to You
   to give them their food at the proper time.
28 When You give it to them,
   they gather it up;
when You open Your hand,
   they are satisfied with good things.
29 When You hide Your face,
   they are terrified;
when You take away their breath,
   they die and return to the dust.
30 When you send Your Spirit,
   they are created,
   and You renew the face of the ground.  Psalm 104:24-30
