All of our children have had professional private lessons at our home for the last five years so Scott knew exactly how to teach him. You begin with them mastering how to float (tummy and chin up, no kicking, legs and arms out) – then turn over to swim and right back to float. Then you shorten the float and have them swim four strokes and keep lengthening the time of swimming to float. But they always can float and save their lives. Which is a GOOD thing!!!

Scott was telling him – “look for mom and keep going towards her.” I was about 4 ft away at this point and he was getting so excited to be at the edge to show me that he can swim the full length of our pool.

As you can see he was pretty proud of himself and so was everyone watching him. He had a full cheering section all around the pool! Then it was back to swimming and floating.

OK, now it was time to warm up and just embrace the joy he was feeling from showing Mommy that he can do it!

Wishing you all a blessed day!
