Be Still SONday

CUS137BeStillScripture

Our oldest shared this anonymous quote yesterday, and I truly believe it is perfect for all of us…

Having a rough morning? Place your hand over your heart {}. feel that?
That's called purpose.
You're alive for a reason.
Don't give up.

This photo reminds me of what it means to never give up hope, and to persevere even through the toughest challenges and seasons we must go through in this life….

You and I are not running a sprint – but a race towards the goal of Christ Jesus.  We are on a journey that develops our character.   I saw this next quote last week and it also reminded me that no matter what I must face, I have a choice…(I don’t remember it exactly and now I can’t find it to share the graphic)…

“I can either let every trial defeat me or define me.  I choose to be defined by my character which has been strengthen through every trial.”

You have all heard the quote – “what doesn’t kill us strengthens us.”   I for one have lived enough times through some serious trials to know that is one very true statement.

God uses every trial for our good and His glory.   There is a lesson in every trial we must face.   We must choose to learn them or we will have to go through them again in a different way until we do.   God is relentless in His pursuit of us and our full heart, mind and soul focused 100% on Him first.   He cares so deeply for each of us and wants the best for us.   In order to receive the best – we must be willing to empty ourselves before Him.   That means letting go of everything we hoped would come to pass in our lives and allow Him to fulfill His plans which are exceedingly better than anything we could ever dare to imagine or ask.

Think about this next time a trial seems to big for you to handle -

Whatever it is God can handle it.  He really can.  Let go and welcome God to handle all of your burdens.  He longs to carry them and lift you up out of whatever is holding you down.
