My response to Him,

We all face trials in our lives.  Some last a lifetime.  Some leave as quickly as they came.  Some trials seem to come when we least expect them or feel prepared to handle them.   That is when we must become still and know that He is God.

I can safely say, we are never truly ready for any trial and the ones that catch us off guard are the ones that remind us of our complete desperation for God to carry us through them.   A promise He makes to each of us.   Lay your burdens down at My feet and I will carry them (you) – because My yoke is light and the burden is easy.   Thank YOU JESUS!

Be still isn’t necessarily doing nothing – it can sometimes be doing the greatest of all.   Trusting in Him.  Listening to Him.  Obeying Him.  Relying on Him.  Crying out to Him.   Talking to Him.   Being wise and not foolish – giving every situation the thought and prayer it needs to be handled in a way that will be for our good and His glory.

Saying, “I will be still and know You are God.”  Is actually doing more than we could ever imagine.   It is opening our hearts, minds, and soul for God to lead, guide, comfort, strengthen, protect, provide, teach, and change us from the inside out.   It is simply letting go and letting God be God.

This week pray and meditate on letting go – being still – and trusting in God to finish the good work He has begun in each of us!   Thank Him for the gift of His truth and how it changes us day by day – moment by moment.   Thank Him for the comfort of His faithfulness and peace!   Thank Him for the blessing of His never changing and unending love for us.   Thank Him and praise Him and thank Him some more.

I am confident you will see your trials in a whole new way.   You will no longer be telling the world around you or convincing yourself how big your problems are – because you will be CONVINCED HOW BIG YOUR GOD IS!
