Accountability

“Thinking well is wise; planning well, wiser;

doing well wisest and best of all.”

Persian Proverb

I want us to hold each other accountable.

Who’s with me?

I’m looking to encourage and to be encouraged.

I’m looking to share recipes that I love and have you do the same with me.

I’m looking to share healthy tips with you, and have us begin implementing them together.

I’m looking for us to do this health journey “together”.

I don’t want you to feel alone as you make positive changes in your lives.  Nor, do I want to feel alone doing them.

I want you to know someone is praying for your success to meet all the goals you set for yourselves.

I would love to know you are out there praying for me to meet mine.

“God does not want us to do extraordinary things; He wants us to do ordinary things extraordinarily well.”  Bishop Gore

I would love if you sent me an email every now and then to make sure I’m still putting my health first – that I’m exercising, spending time each day being still, focusing on what I can change in my life, and finding peace in what I can’t.

I want to be the best wife and mother I can be, and I know that means taking care of me first.   I know that means I have to resist allowing time to slip away from me each day.   I know that means eating healthy.  I know it means making sure I get enough sleep each day.  I know it means drinking enough water each day.  I know it means praying and spending time with, God, each day.  I know it means focusing on Him and thanking Him for all that He does daily in my life.   I know it means finding my strength, comfort, peace, joy, and hope in Him.   I know that without doing these things – I will never be all that He created me to be.

“I am not bound to win
but I am bound to be true;
I am not bound to succeed
but am bound to live up
to what light I have.”

Abraham Lincoln

Today, is the only day I need to focus on…

So again, I ask you, “who’s with me”?

Let us run the race through life together, cheering each other on towards the goal of breaking free from all that we have allowed to stop us from being all He created us to be.

  1. I am with you, my friend. I will commit to pray for you daily ,and encourage you as you take healthy steps each day in order to be the best wife, mother and women of God you can be. You can do all things through Him who strengthens you!

(Praying for you and making notes even now.)

  2. Absolutely! I already pray for you and your family but this list helps me pray more specifically so I appreciate that.
We just tried a "pudding" tonight that is quite good.
2 cups avocado (about 2 medium)
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (next time I'll use less it's very rich)
    1/2 cup + 2 tbsp maple syrup
    1 tsp vanilla
Optional: for a lighter pudding add 2 tbsp milk (almond, rice, coconut, etc)
Place all ingredients in blender and whirl until creamy and blended. Chill for 30 minutes.

*This could be used for frosting as well as it thickens up nicely.*
    :)
    Much love!

  3. I would love to pray for and encourage you, Jill!

After reading that Persian Proverb (which I love), I realized that I'm quite good at thinking and planning, but not as good at doing!

I've also put together a little daily checklist. It may sound silly, but sometimes my days are a bit crazy, and I don't remember to do even the basic things. I need to check off that I've had my quiet time, drank all my water, eaten enough fruits and vegetables, gotten to bed at a decent hour the night before, etc. It helps me to be able to see it in writing.

I'm trying a new recipe for dinner tonight. If it's a success, I'll share it!

Thanks for setting this up, Jill. I think we all benefit from accountability.
