I personally don’t struggle to find locations for photos sessions – because I believe the perfect location is right around every corner!.
I believe you can turn most locations into the perfect spot to create beautiful images – it just takes vision.
Take this spot for instance…that we soon realized was a BIG dog’s potty area. OH MY WORD! Add in a little rain and it was ripe. Just sayin’…
But I didn’t let that stop us, because all I saw was the amazing teal wall covered in vines and knew the images were going to be fantastic with Lexi’s outfits.
Oh and just so you know these shots were only edited for a touch of contrast. They looked amazing SOOC!!!!

This next shot is SOOC and I am madly in love with it!
Then I moved Lexi to the brick wall that connected to the far right vine area to capture these…making the location look brand new and still interesting!
I just had to add this one in – ha ha ha! This is what you get when your daughter isn’t sure what kind of smile or expression you are asking for….
Oh how I ♥ leading lines…
Again, I simply moved her over to a new spot and look how different the location looks…
I thought we were done – but low and behold there was a sea foam green wall that I just had to check out. But who would have thought this little parking area/alley way off a dirty street could be such a great spot?
I couldn’t resist the wall color – come on sea-foam green!!!!!!
A few quick shots and we were off for home.
Or so we both thought – because then I spotted this gray wall right on the corner of a busy street.
I asked Lexi if she would be OK having me take photos of her with cars being at the light none stop??
As you can see she did a pretty good job not letting the on-lookers and car honkers bother her!
So the moral of this post is this…don’t worry about finding the best locations for each photo session – make the location the best! Use what you got and ROCK IT!
I’m sure going to miss my spur of the moment, GORGEOUS, photo session buddy when she goes back to college tomorrow!!!!
OK, your turn to create beautiful images around the corner from where you are – GO have fun!!!! We sure did! Even with the threat of rain at each location
Wishing you all a blessed and beautiful weekend!
I always learn so much from you Jill. It's amazing how you changed the different backgrounds and the photos became so different. It's all about perspective. And I have to say that Lexi is the perfect model!
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Debbie
