I’m so excited!
I did it!
After watching two days of Hailey Bartholomew and Sue Bryce on CreativeLIVE.com teaching about how to incorporate short films and video montages into your business…I knew I had to give it a go.
I couldn’t wait for the 30 day challenge to begin. I had to do it today! Well, I did it yesterday!
The snow arrived perfectly on Friday for my eager heart to begin this project and practice all that I had learned. Hours later I I found the perfect music to accompany what I filmed. Boy am I thankful for all the artists out there that are willing to share their music for projects like mine for free!
Oh there is so much to share and yet, I think the film does it all for me.
Well, I hope it does.
I hope it inspires you to give it a try too and fall more in love with your DSLR. Not to mention, gives you the push you need to capture more extraordinary moments live that will always bring back such sweet memories for generations!
Just remember this is my very FIRST FILM PROJECT and I have mounds of practicing to do...ok? Thanks! Now sit back and enjoy a few minutes of our beautiful children.
For those who are curious what I used to make the video: shot with 5D Mark III, edited and created in Movie Maker (Microsoft) on my PC. The film is 100% SOOC and raw footage. Music was found through Movie Maker.
Here is take two with just our daughter dancing in the snow…I hope you enjoy it!
Wishing you all a beautiful and blessed weekend!
I for one am going to soak in all the beauty right here around me!
Jill
PS Looking at this day two I can see many places I could still cut and make this shorter. But I will leave it as is since it is my very first go at it.

Wow, all that with your DSLR? I'm inspired...that is SO cool!
I love this! Your children are such beautiful subjects for constant film-making. I can't wait to see more!
I could have just watched the little girl outside spinning in the snow for 5 minutes. I would make a short edit with just her. The other kids are absolutely darling too. But I guess I just love little girls spinning in the snow. Haha. That footage is gorgeous!

You're just ooozing with talent! Great first (two) films! I so enjoyed watching these! So cute! And including bouncy Charlie was awesome! Haha!
I love watching Sue Bryce too Jill over on Creative Live :). Oh that music was just perfect for snow dancing and just adorable seeing the kids in action as well as the dogs.
I've made videos with moviemaker in the past but from stills rather than video. You made it look soooooo easy :)
