The greatest lesson I have learned walking through the last year was to become very still and live in the exact moment I was in. I couldn’t control the last moment any longer. Nor could I control the one yet to come. All I could do was and still is the same thing – choose to be present. The same goes for our thoughts. Don’t let them rule you or run away from you. Speak truth into them, be gracious, kind, gentle, and loving with yourself and others.
