Hempseed Oil – Healing Eczema and So Much More!

hempseedoil

Ever since Spark Naturals launched our Certified Organic Hemp Seed Oil, we've had questions about using it for eczema.

Hemp Seed Oil is beneficial for eczema even when used externally - it can be soothing and nourishing for skin.

Try combining with a beneficial essential oil or blend of oils such as:  Melaleuca, Patchouli, Lavender, Sandalwood, Geranium, or Frankincense.

Hemp seed oil is one of the world’s healthiest and oldest natural oils. Produced from the seeds of the Cannabis Sativa plant, hemp seed oil has a perfect ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 essential fatty acids and 80% total essential fatty acids, which is more than any other plant. With this perfect blend of omega and essential fatty acids, there is a massive range of health benefits including better integumentary health such as thicker hair, softer skin, and stronger nails. Hemp seed oil also contains both vitamin E, well-known for its benefits in skin care, and vitamin D, which is not present in other plants. Hemp seed oil can also be helpful for eczema, premenstrual stress, and inflammation.

Applying hemp seed oil on your skin is an effective way to nourish, protect and repair damaged epidermal layers due to external conditions such as wind and sun-damage. Incorporating hemp seeds into your diet is also an effective way to treat a manner of ailments including eczema, dry skin and rash. Hemp seeds are considered pre-digested foods that instantly supply super-nutrition or super-fuel to the cells of your body. Each cell of your body carries an electrical charge; the healthier the cell, the more powerful the electrical charge and the healthier and stronger your body will be to fight against infection, decrease inflammation, and heal from the cellular level out.

Hemp Seeds have the perfect ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids for the human body.

  1. My 8 month old granddaughter has baby eczema pretty bad and I have some hemp oil that I will put in a roller bottle for my daughter to use on her, but I would like to add some EO but would like to know what you would suggest for her, she has an allergic reaction to Lavender so we can't use that. Any help from you would be appreciated. Thank you.

    1. Good Morning Colleen - look into rose oil which is very gentle and healing for the skin. The only place to safely put oils on an infant is under their toe pads diluted with a carrier oil like coconut, hemp, carrot, etc. Please read my other posts on how to use oils safely and what is best for children.
