Beauty & Style with Jill {week 12}

Welcome back to my weekly fashion column, where I share my favorite ensembles from the prior week to help you create new looks with all the clothes you already own.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG and I am soooooo excited about that!   Yeah for warmer temps and sunshine!!!!!

I love all the “IT” colors for this year.  Especially all the wide variety of blues and greens!

Last week, I paired an old vest, belt, and shoes with some new pieces.

Light teal tee – GAP (last year)

Floral belt – LOFT (a few years ago)

Light teal shoes – Target (a few years ago)

Olive Branch 1969 Resolution Skinny Jeans – GAP

Brown Vest – Forever 21 (two years ago)

I truly love this next outfit and can’t wait to wear the floral kimono throughout the spring and summer!

I mentioned this a few weeks ago, but I am in LOVE with these shoes

Seriously, I never wear heels, but they are so comfortable!  Not to mention I love how long my legs look and tall I am in them!  I’m about 5’10” with them on.

#1 This is what’s hot for spring (and summer):

Your trend guide to Spring fashion trends 2015 has arrived! For Spring 2015, designers are celebrating women and the styles that match their many lives. Some of the most popular color trends include: White on White, Positive/Negative, Bold Bloom, 70's Style, Denim, Flowly, Urban Amazon, Hot Mesh, Inseparable Separates and Cool Culottes, With plenty of choices, consider this your trend guide to this Spring/Summer season: #Zindigo #ZindigoDaily #KareenMallet #Raoul #AliceYim

I was never a fan of 70’s style and truly hoping it is gone by next season.   There are only a few things I’m excited to see again, some fringe and floral accessories (like I’m wearing above), denim is always a favorite of mine, and I love white clothing!  I’m a huge fan of all things flowy and girlie too.  I think the Partridge family and The Brady Bunch ruined 70’s fashion for me.  HA!

I would love to see how you incorporate these looks and tips into your daily ensembles, so please tag me on Instagram using #over40looksgood or #stylebyjill

Until next week, be sure to wear your best accessory, a SMILE!
