SHOULD YOU GO KETO?



Last week I shared what many people fear the most - cancer!  And for good reason - the statistics are unbelievable and continue to climb year after year.   But after watching the videos in my post last week fear was replaced with feeling empowered to be in control of my health as much as one can possibly control it.

So if you haven't watched the videos about how eating KETO can prevent cancer, then now would be a great time to do that or be sure you bookmark them for later.  Just promise yourself you will make the time to do it. 


Today, I'd like to share the very first videos we watched to learn and understand the reasoning behind why a ketogenic diet was worth us not only trying, but committing to.  Our entire family eats this way and is thriving on it.  As of today, I'm almost 5.5 months into it and love the results I've had.  It is awesome watching our children grow for the first time in years (because of the HGH hormone that has been turned on from eating this way now for a month).  I can't think of one negative from eating and living this way.  I love all the foods we eat and make - not to mention having our children participate in creating new recipes has been a huge blessing for all of us!  What a great learning experience for our entire family.

OK, now that we've gotten that out of the way...please open you mind to really take in all that you are going to hear from these experts on the KETOGENIC diet.  Be careful not to fall into the fad of doing this just to lose weight.  The benefits of this way of eating are far greater than what number your scale says.  Don't follow the most popular bloggers advice either because they don't know your personal situation or what will be best for you.  Like me, anything they share is their personal experience and should be treated that way.  Do the research and then decide which will work best for you and your family with the knowledge you have and then it is OK to change as you learn more.  I'm not against paleo eating at all and think it can be absolutely healing to the body if done correctly.  Unfortunately, most people still eat too many carbs and replaced gluten free options with glorified junk food.  So take a listen to these extremely intelligent doctors and researchers.  If you have any questions, then please don't hesitate to ask.

As you have now heard by listening to the above experts - there is no rush unless you are truly in a health crisis where your body can handle making a drastic switch quickly.  It is OK to listen to your body as you transition to a low carb, high fat, and moderate protein diet.  Just be sure you do each step right and increase your salt intake, use a high quality magnesium spray or bath salts, and get in an adequate amount of potassium each day.
