Here is the progress of the school room – one week complete!
Before:
The unfinished area is now a huge mess!
This chalk board was already hanging when we moved in 2 yrs ago and will go back up when everything is completed.
One wall was already dry walled.
Construction began:
A view from the mess into the school room.
A view inside the school room into the mess! :-)
Looking good – now the only thing left is the ceiling and lighting. Then taping, painting and flooring and we will have ourselves a new place to do school!
I can’t wait to begin organizing it and setting it up for the kids to begin doing some fun things this summer! I’ll share the final product soon!
Until then – what are you doing this summer to relax and prepare yourself for the coming year?
I love the promise of growth and learning!! Looking forward to seeing what you incorporate into your classroom!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! New space means new things all together! We're finishing up our basement too and man is it a process!
ReplyDeleteOh what a blessing to have a 'school room'! Rob and I have thought about someday, enclosing our back porch into a school room as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm convinced this is a lot of work for you and your hubby, but I'm sure your mind is just swimming with fun organization ideas! Fun stuff. The kids will be BLESSED by this (you too!). :)
We're going through something similar - we've got a schoolhouse going up! Very exciting...
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome Jill! You will love it!!!!
