Teen Talk Tuesday– God’s Perfect Plan

If you missed my last post on True Love Waits, you can catch up here. I promised you that this post would focus on God's perfect plan for True Love. Before we dive in, I'd like for you to watch this video...

Simply put, God's perfect plan for $ex is: purity until marriage. Not only does He expect $exual purity, but purity of mind and heart, as well.

Flee from $exual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the $exually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.  1 Corinthians 6: 18-20

Did you catch that? The bible tells us that we were bought with a price! What price is that? The blood of Jesus Christ! Can you imagine why God would expect anything but holiness from us when He sent His only son to die for our sins!?

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, your ransom was paid at Calvary, by a blameless man. The Lord expects for True Love to Wait. True love (in body, mind, and heart) to wait for the perfect mate that He has for you!

But, you may be asking, "What if I haven't waited for the mate that God has for me?"

The answer is:

There is hope!!  Just as Christ died for you and expects holiness, He also died for you in order that His blood might cover you from past failures and sins. All you must do is believe that Jesus Christ died for that sin (and all others), confess your sin to Him, and turn away. When you are washed in the blood of Christ, you are a new person! Don't let past sin keep you from striving for holiness from this moment forward.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.  1 Corinthians 6: 9-11

I love the word "but" in the bible; it always gives us hope! We were dead in our sins but we were washed, sanctified, and justified!!

Have hope today and look towards the cross of Jesus Christ! He is able to wash you clean and promises that True Love is worth waiting for!

Thank you Christie for another powerful truth filled post.  Friends I pray you are sharing each of these posts with the teens in your lives.   We are the hope for their future – by leading them and guiding them in His love!

Next month we will focus on learning to surrender it all to God.   Hope to hear from more of you. Smile  What topics would you like us to cover?   How can we help to encourage you in your walk with Christ as a teen?
