Wonderful Word Wednesday

Winter arrived today.   Snow has been falling since 11am.   I don’t really like it.   I am not a winter girl at all.   However, that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy how beautiful everything looks all covered in white.

It reminds me that I am covered in His righteousness.   Yet, I know that right underneath all that white is my stuff that needs His constant attention and cleaning.

It is the stuff that I would love to hide from the world, my loved ones, and myself most days.   But it is there.   All dirty and broken.   Pieces of my heart that have rejected God’s plans for my life.   The pieces of my heart that have resisted to simply trust in Him.  The pieces that still allow fear to creep in.  The pieces that get overwhelmed instead of resting in His perfect peace and grace.

Today, God spoke something pretty big to my heart.   Yes, I have all that stuff inside – but He isn’t putting them in front of my face – saying, “look at the mess you keep making”, or “why aren’t you listening to Me?”, or “when will you learn to simply trust Me?”, or “when will you stop rejecting My way?”   No, He keeps saying the same thing over and over to me, “I love you, just as you are.  I love you, and long to care for you.   I love you, and I will comfort you.  I love you, and long to carry you through the trials ahead.  I love you, and my grace is sufficient.  I love you, and that will never change.”

That my friends is what He is saying to each of you.

Wishing you all a blessed night…
