Our children enjoy movies (well OK they LOVE them). They don’t watch TV and that makes watching movies a real treat. Every once in a while a movie comes through our doors and it immediately becomes a family favorite. That is exactly what happened when we all watched “The Incredibles”. A few of our sons became a bit fanatic over the whole Super Hero idea. Which in the end isn’t a bad thing. We are raising our sons to be godly warriors.
This particular son took the whole Super Hero idea a bit seriously and made himself a special mask…
Last week his teacher sent me a photo of him at school with the Super Hero mask that she made for him to wear during recess. I couldn’t get it to save and share. Sorry. You will just have to trust me that it was a doozy and he played the part very well!!! He didn’t really get the idea that being a Super Hero at the age of 8 didn’t mean to keep pretending all day long. I can’t complain though, because the things this Super Hero is doing will be greatly appreciated one day by his future wife. That is if he changes his mind to ever kiss a girl. He he he! They are awfully gross to him now. I’m thrilled with that fact and hope it lasts right on through his teen years. I’ll be sure to remind him Super Heroes must wait to rescue a fair maiden until they are at least 27 yrs old. Right???
Wishing you all a blessed day!
